AT&T experts provide free tech training
at lowell senior center

LOWELL, Mass. Oct. 19, 2015 — AT&T* was joined Monday afternoon by Massachusetts State Rep. Thomas A. Golden, Jr. (D – Lowell) at the Lowell Senior Center, where AT&T tech experts provided free training sessions to local seniors.

Whether they needed help personalizing their devices or they wanted to set up video-chatting software to stay in touch with their families, local residents had the opportunity to sit down one-on-one with AT&T representatives and learn more about their technology.

“Technology is forever changing.  The challenge for all of us today is to keep up with technology.  I want to thank AT&T for bringing their Digital You campaign to Lowell and providing hands-on tech support.  One is never too young or old to learn and stay connected, whether it is with family, friends or business,” said State Representative Thomas A. Golden, Jr.

“Mobile technology has become a huge part of all of our lives, but it can be difficult to stay up to date on the latest trends, devices and features,” Patricia Jacobs, president, AT&T New England said. “That is why we are so proud to offer free events like these training sessions at the Lowell Senior Center. We applaud Rep. Golden for joining us in our commitment to helping people of all ages learn how to use technology productively, efficiently and safely.”

Monday’s training session was part of AT&T’s Digital You campaign. Launched earlier this year, Digital You consists of a series of initiatives that focus on making the most of today’s technology.

In addition to senior tech training efforts, the Digital You campaign also focuses on Internet safety, the dangers of cyber bullying, the increased threat of cyber security breaches, and many other digital issues that affect our everyday work and personal lives.
